Julie Moulin

Native from Auvergne, in the center of France, Julie Moulin began flute in her hometown with Cyril Coutier, Corinne Sagnol and Hervé Hotier, before studying in Paris with Vincent Lucas. In 2006 she attended the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse (CNSMD) of Lyon in the class of Philippe Bernold, Julien Beaudiment and Gilles Cottin, from where she graduated with flying colours in June 2010.

Since 2011 she is second flute of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, after having been a member of the RCO Academy for a few months.

Beside the orchestra Julie is also an enthusiastic chamber music player, performing regularly in different ensembles.  Since 2016 she is artistic director of « Les Echappées musicales du Médoc », a chamber music festival that she co-founded in the South West of France.

Also passionate with teaching, Julie is since 2013 a teacher in CODARTS Rotterdam together with Juliette Hurel and Wim Steinman, and regularly gives masterclasses abroad
