Alexander Krimer

Alexander Krimer was born in 1995. He received his first piano lessons at the age of five from his father Oleg Krimer. He received his first oboe lessons at the age of ten with Heinrich Kreipl.

2017 -2018 Alexander studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with Prof. Jaques Tys. Since 2018 he has been studying with Prof. Nick Deutsch Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig.

In 2009 he was awarded a 1st prize for exceptional performance in the oboe category at the 3rd Karl Adler Music Competition in Stuttgart and a 1st prize and Promotional Prize at the 25th Karel Kunc Chamber Music Competition in Bad Dürkheim.

In 2011 he won two first prizes in the '' Beethoven Bonnensis'' competition both as oboist and pianist.

In 2019 he received the 1st prize in the international competition "North Oboe Competition'' Sweden.

In 2020 he achieved the 2nd prize in the International " Virtual Oboe Competition''.

In 2009, 2010 and 2012 he achieved a special prize from the German Foundation for Musical Life in each year. In 2010 - 2013 Alexander was a scholarship holder of the J. Ponto Foundation.

In 2013 he gave concerts as a soloist at the "Marler Debut" with the "Bergische Symphoniker".

In 2018 Alexander was a guest at the Talentinum Festival in Zlin, where he performed 5 solo concerts with the Bohuslav Martinu Orchestra.

Shortly after, he performed Mozart Concerto for Oboe with Silesian Philarmonic in Katowice. In the same year he recorded Strauss Oboe Concerto with RTV Slovenian Orchestra. In the same year he performed the Strauß Oboe Concerto with the Slovak Sinfonietta in  Slovakia.

In 2019, he was a member of the PMF Orchestra in Japan. In the same year he won the position in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as 2nd oboe and English horn.

Alexander also plays regularly as a Solo Oboist in the Camerata RCO and played as a guest principal in such orchestras as the SWR Symphonie Orchester Stuttgart and more.
